São Paulo, Brazil. One of the biggest cities in the world. The most ethnically diverse city in the country. Rough, dusty and crowded, it's the place THREAT calls home.

It is in this environment that Fabio Romero (bass), Edu Garcia (drums), Andre Curci (guitars) and Wecko (vocals and guitar) find inspiration to compose their furious and fueling music since 2001.

THREAT brings us an aggressive yet melodic, brainstormed and emotionally charged music. It presents a blend of different elements such as versatile vocals, catchy riffs and powerful heavy grooves. The lyrics explore life in a psychological plane, taking you for a ride into the deepness of one's soul. Maybe your own soul. It can plant a seed of inner revolution or simply put your mind to work, to think.

Influences range from bands such as Machine Head, Pantera and Disturbed to more old school metal, names as Suicidal Tendencies, Corrosion of Conformity and Anthrax (to whom they opened São Paulo´s concert in 2005). Sounds like old school meets new school.

The first full-length, "Heaven to Overthrow" hit the stores in Dec.' 2007. Produced by Heros Trench, the most renowned metal producer in Brazil, it has already sold over 1,000 copies independently.

2008 was a busy year for Threat. Achievements include playing at Wacken Open Air 2008, playing with Suicidal Tendencies, Biohazard, Sepultura, Korzus and Joey Beladonna in Sao Paulo.

2009 is a promising year for the band. Threat has already started writing for the successor of Heaven to Overthrow, to be released by the end of the second semester. First three video clips are on the works, coming out in April, May and June. The band´s merchandise (the band is well known in Brazil not only for its live performances but also for its cool stuff) is also going to be available in February through its online store. And there is much more to come.
